Nelson is the newest addition to the yard and will be available for this stud season for the first time since retiring from his jumping career. Bookings are now available in advance.
Nelson has jumped at top level in South Africa before moving to Europe to compete.
Nelson has numerous wins to his record including the South African Derby with International Rider Ronnie Lawrence aboard.
Nelsons breeding includes the who's who of top level showjumping pedigree including the prolific stallion Esprit de Conquete and
the infamous Galoubet A on the Dams side.
Nelsons is by Espirit De Conquete, who himself was a prolific jumping stallion competing on the European circuit for many years.
Espirit De Conquete was by Hurlevent.
Hurlevent produced more than 600 national and international show jumping winners such as the private stallions Urleven Pironnière, Pamphile (CSIO winner), Fosbury, Homere and des Ruelles; the CSIO show jumper Quincy Pironnière; the CSI show jumper Aurnella; and numerous ISO show jumpers such as Moon de la Couture, Pilou II, Original III, Pallas du Plessis, , Red River III, Sabatina des Prés, Tebelle II, Traque le Vent, Trésor des Isles, and Ultra Marine.
Nelsons Dam is by Galoubet who was 5th at the World Championships & noted for his enormous jumping power, he has produced an Olympic & two World Cup winners and a series of top jumping stallions. Galoubet has produced a large number of international GP winners including 'Baloubet du Rouet' (Rodrigo Pessoa) Olympic Individual gold medalist and three time in a row Wold Cup Final winner '98, '99, '2000 and now a leading sire, 'Taloubet Z' (Christian Ahlmann) World Cup Final winner 2011, 'Quick Star' (Merideth Michaels-Beerbaum) GP winner at Munich and Maastricht, now a leading sire, 'Touchdown' (James Kernan) Olympic competitor and sire of Dermot Lennon's world champion mare 'Liscalgot' and 'Skippy' (Rick Hemeryck). Galoubet is himself now regarded as a sire of sires and is responsible through his sons for a very significant branch of the currently active Alme dynasty with the likes of 'Big Star' (Nick Skelton), He has now created his own branch of the Alme jumping dynasty. Alme produced the jumping superstars 'I Love You', 'Jalisco B' (Manuel Malta da Costa), 'Artos' (Peter Leone), 'Animo' (Morten Aasen), 'Ahorn', 'Athlet Z', 'Herban' amongst others.

Nelson's competition career boasts wins and placings at Grand Prix level including the South African Derby and FEI World cups and indeed World Cup Qualifiers.

Throughout Nelson's showjumping career he covered a small select group of mares. Nelson has proved to pass on his very athletic way of going and super technique. There are many horses by Nelson who are competing at 140m - 150m including Branic Cassius and Branic Honky Tonk, who are now moving up the ranks to top level. There are also several event horses by Nelson who are moving up the grades.
This is the first time Nelson will be available at commercial stud. Therefore, unlike many stallions throughout the industry, the market will not be flooded with offspring.
Nelson will suit mares to produce top quality showjumpers and eventers.
